Salam to all my fans :) i managed to arrive in London safe and sound with my hubby and kid. It's been 10 years since i last stepped foot here, and i must say how awful the British weather can be certainly slipped my mind ;)

It is a dream come true to do PhD in UK. I remember the days of going to UK education fair and surfing around the internet. Mind you, how i finally end up going to Imperial College London is somewhat of a surprise. In my undergrad days, i've always wanted to go to Uni of Glasgow. It wasn't until the Uni of Glasgow rep at the education fair pulled a face when i approached her that i was turned off. I love Scotland, for it's serenity and Nessie.. and finally found the course i liked was available in Dundee (browsed thru Uni Edinburgh, Aberdeen etc but none available) but tak tahulah rasa macam berat hati je..
I also scouted around in Canada, Australia and New Zealand (all of them penuh, unavailable or dah ada students). And in England i contacted Warwick, Sheffield, Lancaster etc tp ada saja halangan. I also asked UCL, Bristol tp the professors had other commitment and studentsAnd when i got Imperial, i did istikharah and had a dream.. at the same time everybody kept saying how expensive London is, so i looked at Newcastle, Leeds, Surrey etc.. and when my hubby got his scholar, the only common place for us was London and Leeds, so that's how i end up here.. pretty long story, huh..

Anyway, my doa moga lulus PhD with flying colours, baby lahir sihat and normal, my hubby also dpt Masters dia, and everything will go through smoothly.. Ya Allah, hadapkanlah kami ke jalanMu yang lurus..
